Building Bridges of Hope

Huntors Helpers was born from our desire to create a ripple effect of positivity, transforming lives one client at a time

Our Story

 Huntor’s Helpers Inc.

At Huntor’s Helpers Inc., our journey began with a deeply personal need—one that resonated far beyond our own experiences and into the lives of countless caregivers and individuals navigating the complexities of independent living.

The Beginning: A Personal Struggle Turned Purpose

Huntor’s Helpers was founded out of necessity, frustration, and an unshakable commitment to change. Our CEO, Terrelle, is a single parent of two special needs children and has spent over 22 years in mental and behavioral health as a direct service provider, case manager, and mental health first responder. Despite her extensive background and training, she faced an all-too-common reality—the system often fails individuals who need structured, ongoing support but do not qualify for waiver services.

When unprepared and undertrained caregivers began entering her home to assist her son, she quickly realized a critical gap in the industry: caregivers were not equipped with the tools, knowledge, or real-world training necessary to foster independence and dignity for those they served.

Instead of waiting for the system to change, she decided to be the change—and Huntor’s Helpers Inc. was born.

The Evolution: More Than Just Caregiving

What started as a response to a lack of qualified care grew into a movement to redefine caregiving and independent living support. We expanded to serve caregivers, case managers, group home owners, and individuals who fall through the cracks of traditional support services.

Through training programs, digital resources, community-building initiatives, and independent living curricula, we empower:
✅ Caregivers to be more than just workers—but advocates and educators.
✅ Individuals to gain essential life skills for independence.
✅ Organizations to improve their services and support systems.

The GCC Initiative: Bridging the Gap

Recognizing that many adults who do not meet waiver service criteria are left without structured support, we launched the GCC Initiative—a transitional living program focused on executive functioning, daily living skills, and personal development. This initiative ensures that those striving for self-sufficiency have access to education, mentorship, and resources tailored to real-life challenges.

The Future: A Commitment to Lifelong Impact

Huntor’s Helpers is more than an organization—it’s a lifeline, a community, and a mission. We continue to innovate, expand, and create programs that empower individuals to live independently, not just survive, but thrive.

Our story is not just ours—it belongs to every caregiver who feels unheard, every individual who has been overlooked, and every person who refuses to be defined by the limitations of the system.
